Walter L. Reuter, 86, of Hecker, IL, died June 9, 2016, in Waterloo, IL. He was born November 12, 1929, in Plum Hill Twp., IL.
He is survived by his children Dennis (Sherry) Reuter, Kathy (Ronald) Wilson, & Paul Reuter; grandchildren Bethany (Jason) Wallace, Joshua (Chrissy) Wilson, Caleb Wilson, & Mackenzie Reuter; great grandchildren Taylor Wilson, Chase Wilson, Grace Wallace, Griffin Wallace, & Keaton Wallace; sister Ida Belle Kroener; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; & cousins.
He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth Reuter nee McCune, his parents Walter Herman & Tillie Marie (nee Klingenburg) Reuter, 2 half brothers, & 2 half sisters.
Walter was a member of First Baptist Church - Columbia, Hecker Sportsmans Club, a retired auto worker, US Navy Veteran, avid sportsman, he loved the outdoors, music, gardening, & he played the accordion, guitar, and harmonica. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He also loved to travel and spend time with his family.
