Walter A. Rau

Walter A. Rau, 84, of Columbia, IL, died September 30, 2024, in Belleville, IL. He was born November 30, 1939, in E. St. Louis, IL.

He is survived by his wife Coletta Rau nee Rick; children Robert (Genie) Rau, Dale (Hau) Rau, and Donald Rau; grandchildren Nickolas & Sarah, Jasmine, & Joshua Rau; step-granddaughter Stephanie Bernal; & cousins.

Walter is preceded in death by his parents Henry J. and Lydia (nee Stockel) Rau; and brother Elmer Rau.

He was a member of SS Peter and Paul Church; Waterloo Knights of Columbus, Waterloo American Legion, Midwest Bird and Animal Assn., and CRP Club.
