Virginia C.  Kunkel, 93, of Waterloo, Illinois, died March 14, 2016, in Red Bud, IL. She was born June 15, 1922, in Tipton, IL.

    She is survived by her children, Patricia Dunn, Betty Rick, Robert "Butch" Kunkel, & Donna Erbs; grandchildren, Renee (Jim) Knoke, Lori (Jim) Kettenbrink, Holly (Gene Peterson) Rick, Steve (Debbie) Dunn, Mike (Tammy Powell) Dunn, Kerry (Lon) Broske, Natalie Erbs M.D., & Jack Erbs; great grandchildren, Patrick, Emma, Alec, Spencer, Samuel, Abby, Elsa, Sophie, Addie, Thomas, & Allyse; sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews & cousins.


    She is preceded in death by her husband Walter J. Kunkel; parents Joseph & Johanna (nee Dugan) Brauch; sons-in-law Herb Rick & Paul Dunn; brother Leo Brauch; & sister Mary Gillam.

    Virginia was a member of SS Peter & Paul Church.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to: 
SS Peter & Paul Campus Project Fund, Gibault High School, 
Oak Hill Activity Fund, or Donor's Choice

Visitation:
    4 PM to 8 PM Friday, March 18, 2016 at Quernheim Funeral Home
    8 AM until 9:30 AM Saturday 

Funeral Mass:
    10 AM Saturday, March 19, 2016 at SS Peter & Paul Church in Waterloo, IL
        Father Osang Idagbo C.M. officiating
    Interment at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery in Waterloo, IL
