Veranna M. "Toots" Johnson, nee Bequette, 78, of Waterloo, IL, died December 21, 2017, in Waterloo, IL. She was born February 8, 1939, in Columbia, IL.

She is survived by her children Cheryl Hebel, Barbara (Robert) O'Donnell, Terry (John) Ratcliff, James (Sue) Johnson, & Chuck (Liz Holley) Johnson; grandchildren Amber (Aaron) Dillard, Tifani (Shawn) Beshears, Samantha & Erin Johnson, Alex, Lauren, & Doug Ratcliff, Thomas, Kristen, & Jennifer O'Donnell; great grandchildren Seth, Maggie, Frankie, & Amanda (AJ) Dillard, Chloey Hebel, & Ella & Nathan Beshears; sisters Lil (Carl) Vogt & Ann Valleroy; brother Ron Bequette; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; & cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband Charles D. Johnson; her parents James Nelson & Viola (nee Gummersheimer) Bequette; grandsons Christopher Hebel Jr. & Johnny Ratcliff; brothers Gerry, Glen, Donald Bequette; & sisters Anetha Birkner.

Veranna was a member of St. Patrick Church - Tipton, retired from Commercial State Bank, enjoyed traveling & meeting people from around the country, and member of monthly cancer survivors group.
