Theodore W. Lerch Jr. , 86, of Red Bud, IL, died September 20, 2015 in Waterloo, IL. He was born August 16, 1929 in Valmeyer, IL.
He is survived by his wife Betty Lerch nee Hauptfleisch, children Terrie Thies, Tammy (Dennis) Duffy, Tina Lerch (Mike McCaslin); grandchildren Brandon (Lacy) Duffy, Kyle Duffy, Anna Rabe, and Maxim McCaslin; great grandchildren Joshua Cranford, Jacob Cranford, Boden Duffy, and Jack Rabe; brother-in-law Roland Hauptfleisch; sisters-in-law Billie Jean Lerch, Margie Lerch, and Edith Lerch; nieces, nephews, & cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Theodore & Anna K. (nee Hess) Lerch Sr.; sister Ethel L. Rohlfing; brothers Carlyle J. Lerch Sr., Harold H. "Fuzzy" Lerch, Arlyn H. "Stumpy" Lerch, Robert E. Lerch.
Visitation will be at Quernheim Funeral Home from 3 PM to 8 PM Wednesday September 23, 2015 and St. John UCC - Valmeyer 10 AM until time of service Thursday.
Funeral 11 AM Thursday September 24, 2015 at St. John United Church of Christ Valmeyer, IL with Pastor David Riebeling officiating and burial will be at St. John Cemetery in Valmeyer, IL.
Theodore was a member of American Legion Post 901, Morris Lodge AF & AM 787, Scottish Rite Belleville, Ainad Temple Shriners E. St. Louis, Randolph County Shrine Club, Legion of Honor, and St. John UCC - Valmeyer.
