Roy S. Gilbert

Roy S. Gilbert, 82, of Fults, IL, died January 29, 2020, in St. Louis, MO. He was born February 13, 1937, in Valmeyer, IL.

He is survived his wife Yvonne Gilbert nee Schilling; son Dan (Jackie) Gilbert; sisters Virginia Keaton and Judy (Roger) Wild; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; cousins; and favorite pet Boarder.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents Adam and Bertha  (nee Scheibe) Gilbert; brother Carnel Gilbert; sister Alberta Wild; Leona Jaenke; and Dorothy Johnson

He is a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Valmeyer American Legion, Maeystown Sportsman Club, Maeystown Kloepper Club, Maeystown Civic Association, US Army Veteran (Korean War).

4 PM to 8 PM Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Quernheim Funeral Home
9 AM until time of service Friday at St. John United Church of Christ
