Richard Vernon Krueger, 76, of Red Bud, IL, died April 16, 2023, in St. Louis, MO. He was born August 15, 1946, in Imperial, MO.
He is survived by his daughters Madeleine (Michael Cuddihee) Childers and Clare (Christopher) Guebert; Grandchildren Riley, Luke, Ian, Conrad, Corbin, and Cable; Sisters Eleanor (Mike) Berger and Sandy Kramer; Dear friends, The Sensel Family; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents Milton M. & Mary S. (nee Ehlen) Krueger.
He was a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association and a United States Army Veteran, serving honorably in Vietnam. Richard greatly enjoyed working on his farm with his horses, growing vegetables and hay crops, and visiting with close friends and family to share a home cooked meal. He held a passion toward the study and history of Viking and Norse mythology, along with weaponry of all kinds, even in his later years designing and building the same to gift to his loved ones. He loved a good action movie and Anime which he shared with his granddaughter. He never missed watching the evening world news or relaxing in the simple peace of a beautiful sunset on his farm.
