Raymond Leon Blakeslee, 84, of Ellis Grove, IL, died September 20, 2024, in Red Bud, IL. He was born July 12, 1940, in Orchard Park, NY.

He is survived by his children Freddy (Janet) Blakeslee, Darline (Dale) Heck, Richard (Cheryl) Blakeslee, Benjamin (Stephanie) Blakeslee, and Randy (Melissa) Blakeslee; grandchildren Dale Anthony (Catrena) Heck Jr., Andrew Heck, Daniel (Allyson) Blakeslee, Kelsee (Caleb) Partney, Makayla Blakeslee, Hannah Blakeslee, Luke Blakeslee, and Eli Blakeslee; great grandchildren Derek, Evelyn, and Elaina Heck and Benjamin Partney; brother Karl Blakeslee; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his wife Betty J. Blakeslee (nee Wyman); granddaughter Kaylee Blakeslee, parents Raymond and Ruby (nee Spencer) Blakeslee; and sisters Betty Lohman and Lucy Amorine.

Raymond was a scoutmaster for Troop 343 in Red Bud, IL, Sunday school teacher, and member of Grace Church Ministries in Chester, IL. He was also a former deacon and in the mens prayer group.
