He is preceded in death by his parents Theodore F. & Anna (nee Buettner) Johanning; brothers Marvin & Leland Johanning.
Milford was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church - Wartburg, retired from Harrisonville Telephone Company & farming, & a US Army Veteran.
