Marvin H. Brandt, 92, of Waterloo, IL, died December 3, 2015, in Waterloo, IL. He was born August 1, 1923, in New Hanover, IL.

He is survived by his wife Albertha H. "Maude" Brandt nee Rey; children Alan M. (Catherine) Brandt, Gary A. (Karren) Brandt, & Glen D. (Damaris) Brandt; 6 grandchildren Ryan A. (Crystal) Brandt, Matthew Brandt, Laura Brandt, Christopher (Brittanie) Brandt, Nicollette Brandt, & Sarrah Burleson; 3 great grandchildren; sister Ardell Mueller; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law Arland & Marion Rey, Catherine & Marvin Hoffman, & Helen Rey; nieces, nephews, & cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents the late Herman & Anna (nee Taake) Brandt, his parents, & sister Edna Eschmann.

Visitation will be from 4 PM to 8 PM Friday December 4, 2015 at Quernheim Funeral Home and from 9 AM until time of service Saturday at Zoar United Church of Christ in New Hanover, IL.

Funeral will be at 10 AM Saturday December 5, 2015 at , at Zoar United Church of Christ in New Hanover, IL, with Pastor R.J. Morgan officiating, and burial will be at New Hanover Cemetery of Zoar in New Hanover, IL.

Marvin was a member of Zoar UCC - New Hanover, US Army WWII Veteran, & American Legion - Columbia.
