Louis E.  Stumpf, 86, of Waterloo, IL, died August 21, 2016, in St. Louis, MO. He was born July 30, 1930, in Foster Pond, IL.

    He is survived by his daughters Marlene (Richard) Guillermo & Kathy (Rodney) Linker; grandchildren Dawn (Michael) Kress, Robin (Brandon) Stewart, Amanda (Michael) Esposito, Melissa (Eric) Lonn, Matthew (Sarah) Linker; great grandchildren William and Madeline Kress, Annabelle Stewart, Isaac Linker, & Isaiah Lonn; sister Lucille Schewe; in-laws Lavern and Lucille Lang, Myrt and Clarence Metter, Delores Lang; nieces and nephews

    He is preceded in death by his parents Eugene & Frieda (nee Hesterberg) Stumpf, wife Vera Stumpf nee Lang, brother Leland Stumpf, sister Arlou Stumpf, & brothers-in-Law Raymond Schewe and Harold Lang

    Louis was a member of St. Paul UCC - Waterloo, past Consistory member, past member of Kolmer Memorial Cemetery Board, charter member of Deer Hill Cemetery Assn., past member of the Bud Light Brigade, past board member of Horse Prairie Mutual Insurance, a recipient of the 2006 Outstanding Farmer Award from the Monroe County Soil & Water Conservation District, & past director of the Monroe County Fair Association. He was a dedicated farmer, avid woodworker, & he loved music.

    3 PM to 7 PM Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Quernheim Funeral Home
