Larry Gerard Dietz, 60, of Byers, Colorado, died March 4, 2023, in Byers, CO. He was born August 8, 1962, in Belleville, IL.
He is survived by his special friend Diane "Peaches" Moore; brothers and sister Roger (Lisa) Dietz, Thomas (Penny) Dietz, and Jean (Gregory) Hoeffken; aunt Helen Clamors; uncle Ernie Wear; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his wife Dianna Dietz; parents George & Betty (nee Novakov) Dietz; grandparents Peter & Marie Dietz and Frank & Myrtle Novakov; uncle Arnold Clamors; aunt Joann Wear; and uncle Nick Novakov.
Larry was raised in Waterloo, IL. He attended SPPS, Gibault, and graduated Waterloo High School in 1980. After years of being a farmhand, and other jobs, even owning an arcade in the early 1980's, he joined the United States Air Force. The Air Force trained him as a computer tech and sent him to various bases in the states, and many countries around the world. He spoke little of his job, being most projects were classified.
His last move was to Buckley Air Force Base were he retired from the Air Force after serving his country for 20 plus years and worked at the base as a civilian until health issues caused his retirement. He continued to live in Byers, CO, but his Waterloo hometown roots were deep, love for his family was strong.
