James L. Nagel, 70, of Chester, Illinois, died March 21, 2016, in St. Louis, MO. He was born July 27, 1945, in Red Bud, IL.
He is survived by his wife Judy Kay Nagel nee Bughman; children Rachelle Johnson, Dana Byasse, Tad (Nicole) Murphy, & Neal (Trisha) Murphy; 10 grandchildren; father Earl W. Nagel; brother and sisters Larry (Giovanna) Nagel, Connie (Bob) Esker, Cathy (Gary) Griffin, & Vickie Nagel; sisters-in-law Paulette (Charlie) Larson & Janet (Steve) Matz; nieces, nephews, & cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother Violet Nagel nee Kunkel, & son Eric Allen Nagel.
He was a member of the Mississippi Valley Gun Club, NRA, Eagles, and was confirmed at Holy Cross.
