James T. Blevins II

James  T. "Tom" Blevins II, 49 yr old, died in the Lord January 29, 2022 at Memorial West Hospital Belleville. He has gained his heavenly home and is no longer in pain.  He was born May 23, 1972 at US Naval Hospital in Newport, RI.

Tom is survived by his wife, Janel and children Elijah, Skylar, and Ava of Hecker, IL; his parents James T. and Kathryn Phillips Blevins of Chaffee, MO; one sister Sarah (Lloyd) Powell of Lenexa, KS; one brother Phillip Blevins of St. Louis; maternal grandmother MaryAnn Phillips of Morley, MO; in laws James and Judy Guebert of Red Bud, IL; two brothers in law Kevin (Anna) Guebert of Red Bud, IL and Craig (Lori) Guebert of Mowequa, IL; two sisters in law June Guebert of Edwardsville, IL and Jill (Sam) Gross of Red Bud, IL; nieces and nephews Caleb, Kyler, Drew, Austin, Makayla, Hunter, Summer, Lucas, Amelia, and Emma.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Vernon Phillips, Edith and Elmer Blevins.  

He grew up in Chaffee, MO and graduated from Chaffee High School.   He attended Missouri Baptist College, St. Louis. On October 12, 2002 he married Janel Guebert in Red Bud, IL. He had 3 children whom he loved dearly - Elijah(12), Skylar (9), and Ava (7). He was a member of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church. He loved God and loved others.  “Tom”, as all his loved ones knew him, loved working with computers and owned Topaz Computers. He was a member of Arch Reactor in St. Louis.  He most recently worked for RTG. Tom loved spending time with his kids and family.   He loved planning and taking trips with his family.   Tom was an avid wildlife lover who enjoyed going eagle watching.  His kids loved his spontaneous outings to get snow cones or ice cream and all the back road trips to find deer. He loved taking funny pictures with his kids, playing XBOX, and rooting on Kentucky Wildcats Basketball and the Kansas City Chiefs.

4 PM to 8 PM Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo, IL

9:30 AM until time of service  at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church
