He is survived by his wife Shirley Rippelmeyer (nee Roseman); children Darlene (Ronald) Pflueger and Wayne Rippelmeyer; grandchildren Stacy (Michael) Hemmer, Ryan (Meagan) Pflueger, and Christine (Aaron) Kachelmuss; great grandchildren Nathan and Ava Hemmer and Keegan and Carson Pflueger; sisters Esther Muertz, Loretta Rodenberg, and Florence Jaenke; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his infant son Dale Herman Rippelmeyer; parents Albert & Katherine (nee Illert) Rippelmeyer; sisters Mildred Meyer, Ethel Luehring, brothers Paul, Milton, and George Rippelmeyer.
Herman was a United States Korean War Veteran.
