Estrella Chambers

Estrella Chambers, nee Castillo, 79, of Valmeyer, IL, passed away at home surrounded by family on July 31, 2024, in Valmeyer, IL. She was born October 5, 1944, in Manila, Philippines. 

She is survived by her husband Larry Chambers; children Larry (Christine) Chambers, Gayle (Dan) McCarthy, and Laura Castillo Nagi; grandchildren Alyssa (Ian), Mallory (Carson), Bella, Kyle, Dylan, Ryan, Rohan, Talvin and great grandson, Everett; brothers and sisters Ernesto (Terrie) Castillo, Ben Castillo, Ramie (Tony) Tirres, Aurora (Gary) Watkins, Alicia (Rodney) Johansen, Susan Melody Castillo, Steve (Terry) Castillo, Irene (Charlie) Paine and William (Judy) Castillo. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernesto and Asuncion Castillo and brothers Fernando and Roberto Castillo.

Estrella was a member of St. John UCC, Valmeyer.

Estrella carried a smile with her everywhere she went. She loved people and her community. Estrella spread God’s love through her selfless service. She offered her compassion and generosity to every person she met.
