Elizabeth Bode

Elizabeth Bode, 88, of Waterloo, Illinois, passed away on April 23, 2017 at 5:14 pm CT., in Waterloo, IL. She was born May 23, 1928, in Hungary. Elizabeth was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all friends and family.

    She is survived by her son Jacob Kaufer and his wife Pamela Rice Kaufer, step daughter Dorothy Lee Kleindienst, step son Steve Bode, sister Kathy and her husband Ed Grisby, sister-in-law Dorothy Walsh, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephew, and cousins.

    She is preceded in death by her parents Henry Kraus and Elizabeth (Nabel), husband Leroy Bode (died 2/25/02), son George Kaufer, daughter Elizabeth Lang and son-in law Harvey Lang.

    Elizabeth was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Sparta, IL Chapter #411 and The American Legion, Columbia, IL.

A celebration of her life will be May 17 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm 
at the Oak Hill nursing home activity center (623 Hamacher St, Waterloo, IL 62298).
