Eileen M.  Wagner, nee Strautz, 78, of Hecker, Illinois, died February 24, 2016, in Red Bud, IL. She was born October 22, 1937, in E. St. Louis, IL.

    She is survived by her husband Melvin A. Wagner; children Fred Wagner, Charles (Rita) Wagner, Alan (Barb) Wagner, and Patricia (Dennis) Karban; grandchildren Terra (Gary) Gabelman, Nicole (Jeff) Nolen, Cathy Ruhmann, Lisa Smith, Donald (Amanda) Wagner, Charles Peter Wagner, Victoria Karban, Michael (Sarah) Karban, Kaylin Karban, Allison Wagner, and Andrew Wagner; great grandchildren Tyler, Dylan Gabelman, Jacob & Kora Nolen, Davin Ruhmann, William & Albert Smith, Alexis  &  Nataleigh Wagner, and Anne & Oliver Karban; sister Rose Mary Kehrer; sister-in-law Bernice Thompson; nieces,nephews, and cousins.

    She is preceded in death by her parents Charles Peter & Ida K. (nee Thomure) Strautz; sister Theresa Margaret Hentzel; 1 brother; and 2 sisters in infancy

    She was a member of St. Augustine Church, Altar Sodality, & Hecker Community Center

    4 PM to 8 PM Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Quernheim Funeral Home
    9 AM until time of service Monday St. Augustine Church
