Edwin A. Matzenbacher, 92, of Waterloo, Illinois, died March 24, 2016, in St. Louis, MO. He was born March 14, 1924, in Waterloo, IL.
He is survived by his wife Shannon Matzenbacher nee Martin; children Arnold (Judy) Matzenbacher, Gail (Albert) Polk, & Susan (Kurt) Mathews; grandchildren Jeri Bergmann, Angela (Doug) Briggs, Erin Matzenbacher, Teresa (Bruce) Terveer, Matt (Mindy) Blake, Christopher Polk (friend Tami Setzer), Melissa (Kyle) Sensel, Sarah (Brian) Wild, & Karla (Mike) Buettner; great grandchildren Brent & Alex Bergmann, Jessica Hunter, Jack, Josie, & Julia Briggs, Scarlet Matzenbacher, Sarah & Emily Allen, Allie & Thomas Terveer, Kristen, Cameron, & Chase Polk, Cole & Dane Sensel, Griffin Wild, & baby Buettner; sister-in-law Mary (Henry) Ahne; and numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Adam & Ida (nee Goeddel) Matzenbacher; daughter Jill O. Matzenbacher; brothers William (Viola) Matzenbacher, Oscar (Rose) Matzenbacher, Elmer (Luella) Matzenbacher, Walter (Ruth) Matzenbacher, sister Frieda (William) Grohmann, and sister-in-law Juanita Bagsby.
Edwin was a member of St. Paul UCC - Waterloo, IL.
