Duane H. "Harv" Ries

Duane H. Ries a.k.a Harv, 70, of Waterloo, died October 14, 2024, in St. Louis, MO. He was born September 30, 1954, in Red Bud, IL.

He is survived by the love of his life, Ellen Gates and children, Jeremy (Katie) Ries and Amber (John) Quade; Benjamin Gates; Grandchildren, Lola Gates and Emma and Alex Quade; Father, Harvey C. Ries; siblings, Diana Hamilton, Dean Ries, Donald (Debbie) Ries and Debbie (Rich) Koch, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Marion H. Ries, brother-in-law, Steven Hamilton and sister-in-law, Sharon Ries.

He was someone who said he can’t do two things at one time but he loved playing the accordion. He loved to listen, play and sing music, he loved gardening and just being outside.
