Dennis M. Karban

Dennis M. Karban, 66, of Smithton, IL, died March 19, 2021, in Belleville, IL. He was born May 4, 1954, in Red Bud, IL.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Karban, nee Wagner; children Victoria Karban, Michael (Sarah) Karban, & Kaylin (Alex) Coleman; grandchildren Anne & Oliver Karban, and Layla Coleman; sisters and brothers Cindy (Wayne) Heinecke, Tim (Davida) Karban, Kim (Mike Hargrove) Maki, and Jamie (Bonnie) Karban; father-in-law Melvin Wagner; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law Chuck (Rita) Wagner and Alan (Barb) Wagner; aunts; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many many friends.

He is preceded in death by baby Alex Karban; parents Clement & Dorothy (nee Huetsch) Karban; mother-in-law Eileen Wagner; brothers-in-law Fred Wagner and Butch Maki; godparents Peter & Adela Kaiser; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Dennis was a member of St. Augustine Church - Hecker, IL; Hecker Knights of Columbus (charter member); Hecker Fire Department; Hecker Community Center; former member of Hecker Sportsman Club and Prairie du Long Township Trustee.

4 PM to 8 PM Friday, March 26, 2021 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo, IL

Memorial Service:
10 AM Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Hecker Community Center in Hecker, IL with a luncheon to follow.

A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
