Mrs. Blanche Dudley of Waterloo, Illinois, departed this life on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the age of 84. She was born August 11, 1930 in Newport, Arkansas, the daughter of John C. Miller and Martha Ann (Osborne) Miller Britton, and married Mr. Garland Leon Dudley on May 13, 1954.
Mrs. Dudley was a certified medical technician and nurses aid, and spent many years working in nursing homes. She most recently worked at Gibault Catholic High School collecting money at lunch and loved talking to the students. Being a grandmother was her most important hobby and greatest love.
She was of the Assembly of God belief.
Mrs. Dudley was preceded in death by one grandson, Jacob Stauder; six brothers, Elvis Ellis, Johnny Ellis, Leonard Ellis, David Ellis, Amos J.C. Miller, and her twin, Broce Miller; three sisters, Esther Hampton, Clara Mann, and Ida Mae Clark; and her parents.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 61 years, Garland Dudley of the home; three daughters, Martha Stauder of Valmeyer, Illinois, Mary Hawkins of New Athens, Illinois, and Sandra Tochtrop of Waterloo, Illinois; one sister, Dixie Cole of DesArc, Missouri; four grandchildren, Wendy, Ashley, Courtney, and Toni; four great-grandchildren, Kaylynn, Ethan, Madison, and Trenton; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be at 1 PM Saturday May 30, 2015 at New Life Church 502 Front St. Waterloo, IL with Pastor David Eckstadt officiating.
