Arthur A. Stitzel, 89, of Waterloo, IL, died December 12, 2024, in Waterloo, IL. He was born November 23, 1935, in Edgar Springs, MO.

He is survived by his wife Alice Stitzel nee Hitzemann; children Jean (Ron) Byford & Wayne (Sherry) Stitzel; grandchildren Whitney (Ben) Stitzel, Vanessa (Lucas) Smothers, & Garrett Stitzel; sisters-in-law Betty Stitzel, Judy Hitzemann, and Edna Mae McDaniels; brother-in-law Marvin Hitzemann; nieces; nephews; and cousins

Arthur is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Estelle (nee Haven) Stitzel; sisters Irma Selz and Mary Bauer; and brothers Norman and Gene Stitzel; sisters-in-law Monica Hitzeman and Florence Stitzel; brother-in-law Richard Hitzemann

He was a member of Monroe County Taxpayers Association and Laborers Local #459 - Belleville.
